2018 Acura MDX Hybrid In-depth Review
For this year Acura has prepared some technology changes. All the models will arrive with significant upgrades. This will not pass the new 2018 Acura MDX Hybrid too. After last year’s facelift changes and powertrain improvements, the new model will now receive better infotainment system. The new 7-inch touchscreen will be implemented on the upper side of the dashboard while the lower 8-inch screen will stay the same. Also, two new shades of red color will be optional for the exterior.
2018 Acura MDX Hybrid — Design and Safety Features
2018 Acura MDX Hybrid will arrive with the changed front side. The new Jewel Eye design LED day headlights will be matched with the new diamond pentagon grille. The fog lights will now also come with LED technology. Inside new MDX can accommodate up to eight persons. However, the third row is pretty tight and it is not recommended for adults. The Audio Surround System will be equipped with 12 powerful speakers and it will be compatible with MP3 and WMA format. Acura Navigation will come as standard with all trim models.
In order to keep its five stars ranking the new 2018 MDX Hybrid will inherit most of the safety features from its predecessor. The pre-collision warning from Acure is probably one of the best in the world. The Collision Mitigation Braking System helps a driver to avoid 12 mph and 25 mph frontal collision. Some features like lane keep assist, a road departure mitigation system or adaptive cruise control will be standard in the new hybrid crossover.
2018 Acura MDX Hybrid — Powertrain Specs
The new 2018 Acura MDX Hybrid will have sport spirit thanks to the amazing powertrain. The base engine will be a petrol 3.0-liter V6. It will be paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The hybrid powertrain will additionally contain three-motor Sport Hybrid SH-AWD system. The first motor will be set between the engine and transmission and it will help to improve the power on the front wheels.
The other two electric motors will be set in the back to influent the rear wheels. The total power of this hybrid system is rated at 325 horsepower and 289 lb-ft of torque. This is 35 hp more than with the regular model. The new MDX Hybrid has not yet been EPA rated but it is expected to reach 26/27 mpg city/highway.

Price
The 2018 Acura MDX Hybrid is now available at dealerships. Its starting price is $58,995 but it can go up if the next owner decides to have some additional features.
