Subaru Forester for the current year surprised many with its styling and performance. The crossover is fresh, and it is ready to conquer. Nevertheless, it is not going to be easy to make its way with strong competition on the market. But, with few trim levels, this SUV is ready to meet high expectations.

At the top of the lineup is the 2018 Subaru Forester XT Touring. If anyone has a doubt about the standard model or any other between these two, it is hard to find a lack on this one.

However, according to announcements of the site suvtrend.com the Forester Turbo variant has been discontinued from 2019.

2018 Subaru Forester XT Touring Drivetrain

While the entry-level models are using a 2.5-liter engine, the 2018 Subaru Forester XT Touring will get the power from a 2.0-liter mill. This is a turbocharged drivetrain with the output of 250 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. The Lineartronic CVT is a transmission, and XT Touring model can tow up to 1,500 pounds. Of course, all-wheel drive is standard.

Other models don’t have an Active Torque Vectoring feature, which is available exclusively for Forester XT Touring. The car will return 27 mpg on the highway and 23 mpg in the city. The combined result is around 4 mpg worse than standard version can offer. However, the performance-oriented model comes up with 100 horses more.

2018 Subaru Forester XT Touring Special Features

The unique look of the 2018 Subaru Forester XT Touring comes with various parts. First of all, there are 18-inch alloy wheels with a black finish. Fog lights and LED steering-responsive headlights are standard. Turn signals are integrated on rear mirrors. Also, XT Touring model offers dual-chrome exhaust pipes.

Leather covers most of the interior upholstery and seats. There is no need for extra packages to get premium audio system and navigation. Well, you won’t find any pack for this model, since it is already loaded with the best features Subaru can offer.

2018 Subaru Forester XT Touring Pricing

The MSRP for the 2018 Subaru Forester XT Touring is $36,000. It is $13,000 more than the base SUV. The price gap says enough what to expect from the upgraded version. Whatsoever, the upcoming 2019 Forester can bring even more features and systems. Of course, the XT Touring version will return and keep the top of the hill position among the entire family.
